The Rogue Ops Update (0.5) marks a major step forward in the development of Gray Zone Warfare, expanding the range of activities, giving you an opportunity to build your operation, and enriching the world of Lamang.
Alongside the player-driven improvements covered in our previous devlog, Rogue Ops also introduces a wealth of new content to discover, including legendary new weapons and enormous high-difficulty locations. Watch the video devlog or read the summary below to see what’s coming.

Weapons, Weapon Parts
We’re bringing new iconic firearms, instantly recognizable to any weapon enthusiast, along with their respective camo variants. We’re also adding hundreds of new weapon parts, including additional parts for existing platforms such as the AKS, significantly expanding your loadout options and giving you more freedom to customize your weapons to suit your preferences. On top of that, we’ve reintroduced the suppression effect and reworked weapon distribution to better reflect the atmosphere and context of different locations.
Weapons & Parts Added
- 7 new weapons: AUG (including AUG A3), Benelli M4, G3, G36, FAMAS, UMP, Glock 18C
- 370 weapon parts (including new color variants for existing parts, additional parts for existing platforms, and parts for the newly added weapons)
- 6 unique camo variants for firearms
- 22 collimators, including different color variants and different reticle colors
- 2 magnifiers (4x, 6x)
Improvements Related to Weapons and Ammo
- Weapon camos have been updated with more realistic colors, patterns, and combinations that better suit Lamang’s environments.
- Weapons found throughout the world now better reflect the atmosphere and context of each location.
- Most new weapons can be found throughout the world rather than purchased from vendors.
- Rare weapon builds with low drop rates have been added to the world.
- New weapons come with their own unique inspect animations.
- The suppression effect has been reintroduced to convey the danger and pressure of incoming fire without blurring the entire screen.
- SP and HP ammunition now create larger wounds than FMJ and AP rounds.
Environment
The world of Gray Zone Warfare is getting significantly richer, with three enormous new locations to explore. These areas introduce new activities and interactions while presenting greater challenges with high-difficulty enemies. Lamang is also being expanded with numerous smaller locations, filling the world with details that reinforce the island’s dark atmosphere and make it feel more alive. We’re continuing to polish the game’s visuals, including improvements to lighting, clouds, and the overall atmosphere.
- Added three new Tier 4 Points of Interest: Lakevale Sanctuary (Asylum), Northern Reach (Military Research Site), and RLSL-1 (Radio Observatory).
- Added 15+ smaller locations, including drug huts hidden throughout the jungle, apartment buildings, Khmer temple ruins, Rocky City, and underground tunnels.
- Improved lighting
- Refactored the cloud system, enhancing cloud visuals and making the sky a more prominent part of the environment.
- Polished the transition between sunset and the activation of outdoor light sources.
- Added HDR display support.
- Adjusted AI NPC gear colors for a more realistic appearance.
- Added new environmental props and variations of dead bodies to enhance environmental storytelling.
- Added new interactive audio and audiovisual elements, including voice recordings and televisions that react to player actions.
- Improved footstep audio, with different sounds depending on the surface players are moving across.
- Added traps and environmental puzzles throughout the island.
- Added a new hacking tool with three tiers, allowing players to bypass electronic locks and access restricted areas
Tasks
We’ve introduced new tasks connected to the new gameplay loop, leading you to explore new locations, take part in new types of activities, and uncover more of Lamang’s dark history.
- Added new Main Tasks and Long-Term Contracts
- Added tasks connected to the Hideout, smuggling, and hunting
- Added new Chameleon (magazine) tasks
Economy
We’ve made adjustments to the in-game economy to create a more balanced progression and make earning money feel more meaningful.
- Reduced the spawn rate of high-value loot around the world
- Tracking Tags and Stims are no longer available from vendors and must be crafted
- Vulture is no longer tied to Combat Outposts and can now be accessed through the standard vendor screen alongside the other vendors.
What’s Next?
Update 0.5 launches in Supporter Preview on October 19, followed by the full release on October 22.
